What the Base Fee Covers and What It Does Not
It does not reinstate your license automatically if other conditions remain unmet: an SR-22 filing requirement, an ignition interlock device order, unpaid court fines, or a SATOP completion mandate.
The reinstatement notice you received lists every condition that must be satisfied before DOR will restore your eligibility. If the notice also requires proof of insurance on file with the Director of Revenue, you must have an active SR-22 certificate filed by a licensed Missouri carrier before the fee payment clears. If the notice requires IID installation, the device must be installed and the service provider must have reported compliance to DOR. The fee payment alone does nothing if those other conditions are still open.

How to Submit the Reinstatement Fee
Write a personal check or money order payable to the Missouri Department of Revenue. Include your full name as it appears on your driver license, your date of birth, and your driver license number on the memo line of the check or on a separate sheet of paper enclosed with the money order. If your reinstatement notice includes a reference number or case number, write that number on the memo line as well.

After the Fee Clears
Once DOR processes your payment and all other reinstatement conditions are satisfied — SR-22 on file, IID compliance reported, fines paid, SATOP completed — your driving privilege is restored administratively. You are eligible to drive again, but you do not have a physical license card yet unless your card was valid and current when the suspension began.
If your license card expired during the suspension period, you must visit a Missouri license office in person to renew it. Bring proof of identity, proof of Social Security number, two proofs of Missouri residency, and payment for the renewal fee. If your card was current and did not expire, it becomes valid again the moment reinstatement posts — no office visit required.
